I think Jerry West is the greatest Laker ever. He was in every level of the organization, playoff MVP, won a title, went to a ton of finals and built two dynasties.

People knock Russell for his lack of scoring (when he knew it was much more important to get his teammates going). But Russell makes the all-time starting line up for Winning, Defense, Rebounding, Passing, and Leadership. Nothing else to say

Don’t care much about what Red thought. He was sure that the ABA merger was a mistake, but 3 out of 4 made the playoffs immediately, only NJ, who had to trade Doc to Philly for cash to pay the Knicks a fee to enter the NY market didn’t. All four teams have made the Finals, and SA (multiple) and Denver have won the title.
